摘要 <p>A method is for measuring the force and/or displacement characteristics of a part of a test object moving against a counter force. It is applicable to workpiece tolerance testing in industrial manufacturing facilities, and enables highly accurate measurement by eliminating errors caused by non-linearities, friction etc. The displacement sensor measures the displacement of the force sensor directly w.r.t. the reference surface. At the beginning of the procedure, the sensor is held against the moving element by an initial force not greater than the bias force on the moving element. The position of the sensor for which this initial force is achieved is used as the nill point for subsequent displacement measurements of the displacement measurement device w.r.t. the test object. Distance measurement is totally independent of force measurement.</p>
