PURPOSE:To always accurately measure evaporation so as to manufacture a magnetic tape of uniform quality, by forming a groove in a prescribed location of a recovering drum and installing a monitor correspondingly to the groove and a scraping means corresponding to the groove to make the groove width constant. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, 9f indicates a groove installed to go around the side of a recovering drum 9 and the groove 9f is made to have an arc-like cross section so as to correspond to the width of the slit 12a of an atomic absorption type evaporation amount measuring device 12 to pass evaporated substance. Another recovering drum 13 to be used for recovering evaporated substance passing through the slit 12a is also installed. Even when cobalt 5 adheres to the bottom of the groove 9f of the recovering drum 9, the cobalt 5 is scraped by a scraping blade 9g and only evaporated substance of a width corresponding to the width of the slit 12a advance in a beeline in the direction of the arrow C through the slit 12a of the atomic absorption type evaporation measuring device 12. Therefore, pushing out of cabalt at both sides of the slit 12a can be minimized and evaporation of cobalt can be measured excellently. |
