A vehicle wheel is provided with a circumferential groove for generating an aerodynamic output drive. The ambient air flows through the circumferential groove during driving so that, in conjunction with the top of the carriageway a flow channel is produced on the underside of the wheel as a nozzle and diffuser, by means of which aerodynamic output drive forces for improving the adhesion with the ground are produced. <IMAGE>
