发明名称 METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH PRESSURE METAL VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent overheat damage of a stabilizer by fusing a coil filament of a starter when a luminous tube is leaked by inserting a mount provided with thermionic radioactive substance material attached to a heating unit into an outer tube and electrifying the heating unit to produce active thermionic radioactive substance material and by sealing the outer tube airtightly. CONSTITUTION:A heating unit 20 attached by thermionic radioactive substance material 19 is disposed in the vicinity of one end of a coil filament 10 of a thermal response switch type starter 4 of a mount 2. The mount 2 is inserted into an outer tube 1 and its opening portion is sealed. When the outer tube is exhausted from an exhaust tube 21 and voltage is applied between introduction lines 15 and 17, the temperature of the heating unit is risen and the material 19 is decomposed thermally to produce active thermionic emission substance, and the exhaust tube is enclosed. Then, when a luminous tube 3 is leaked, electron is discharged from thermionic radioactive substance and rapid electric discharge is generated between the end portion 10a of the filament 10 and the heating unit 20, and the filament is fused. As the thermionic radioactive substance is retained in the outer tube 1 after produced, it is not changed into inert substance, and sufficient thermionic radioactivity is maintained.
