PURPOSE:To obtain a radiograph information reader provided with a means which reduces easily the quantity of an accelerated phosphorescent luminous light incident on a photodetector on demand by changing the distance between a main scanning line and an incidence end face. CONSTITUTION:A moving means 10 is provided which moves a condenser 4 so that the distance between an incidence end face 4a and a main scanning line 3a is changed, and a base part 10b is slidable on a base 10d in directions of arrows C and C'. When the base part 10b is slid, the condenser 4 is slid as one body in directions of arrows D and D' to change the distance between the incidence end face 4a and the main scanning line 3a. Consequently, the position of the condenser is changed in accordance with the level of luminescence intensity of the accelerated phosphorescent luminous light emitted from each sheet to change the converging efficiency of the condenser. Thus, the saturation of a photomultiplier is prevented to obtain accurate reproduced pictures even if the sheet from which the level of luminescence intensity of the accelerated phosphorescent luminous light is high. |
