PURPOSE:To achieve noncontradiction of misinformation and quick restoration from error, by informing the protocol error in high level detected by a protocol converter without causing contradiction to the states managed in both the end devices. CONSTITUTION:When a communication is produced between the devices Ai and Bj, the protocol conversion between the network architecture at Ai side and that at Bj side is made with a protocol converter C. The protocol converter C detects the protocol error in the data block unit, and when the error is detected, a negative response is returned to the device Bj. The content of error detected is added to the negative response, to inform the error production and the content to the device Bj having the responsibility of error restoration. The device Bj stops the transmission of telegraphic message during transmission and it transits to the processing of restoration. |
