The invention relates to an electric motor. Its mechanical structure is similar to that of a piston internal combustion engine. The rotation of the crank shaft 17 is controlled by the pistons 1 to 4 each of which slides in its liner 5 to 8. Each piston-liner pair constitutes an electro magnet which is supplied with a current whose pulses are modulated. Application: electric motor with variable torque or speed; possibility also of using the pistons to form a compressor. <IMAGE>
