PURPOSE:To easily detect the position of a fault bit by generating a bit concerned which detects the agreement of written data and detecting the agreement with the bit corresponding to data which has been read. CONSTITUTION:A fixed data generation means 5 sequentially generates the bit concerned which detects the agreement of data written in a storage part 2, which is outputted to an agreement detection means 7. On the other hand, data written in the storage part 2 is read, and the bit corresponding to the bit outputted from the fixed data generation means 5 is selected in a bit selection means 6 and added to the agreement detection means 7, whereby agreement/disagreement of two bits are detected. At the time of disagreement, addresses in which the bits are written by the output of the agreement detection means 7 and the selecting position of a bit selection means 6 are stored in a fault information storage means 8 as fault storage are information and fault bit position information.
