In the diagnostic appts., the interface circuit (1) has a filter (3) which receives signals from a bus through entry terminals (E1, E2) and two connectors (11, 12) which form exit terminals (S1, S2), a signal filter and detection circuit (4) consisting of three comparators. The first comparator (41) receives the filtered signal through a connection to the output terminal (S1) and a reference potential (Vrex) on the negative input terminal, a second comparator (42) receives the filtered signal from the output terminal (S2) and the reference potential (Vref) and the positive input terminal, the third comparator (43) filtered signals from both S1 and S2. The output terminals (ERR1, ERR2, RO) of the comparators (41, 42, 43) are connected to a logic decision circuit (5) which determines the requests. For asynchronous analysis the logic circuit counts the number of transactions from the terminals and compares the difference to a predetermined value, for example 4, the default is determined by a state code.
