<p>PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization of a recording/reproducing device and the reduction of the cost by providing a take-up mechanism having one direct motor for driving each of different-sized tape cassettes. CONSTITUTION:When a small-sized tape cassette is in using, an idler gear 6a is engaged with a passive gear on a reel base on a position 1a, an idler gear 6b is engaged with an intermediate gear 3b. And when the small-sized cassette is in using, the idler gear 6a is engaged with a variable gear on the reel base on a position 2a, and the idler gear 6b is engaged with an intermediate gear 3a. Thus, the position of an idler plate 5 shifting in a clockwise direction is coincident with that in a counterclockwise direction irrespective of the size of the cassette. The response of the swing of the idler plate 5 is kept constant irrespective of the kind of the cassette. When a driving gear 4 is reversely rotated, the idler plate 5 is moved in a direction reverse to that at a forward time, and then, the tape is rewound. By increasing the rotational speed of the driving gear 4, high speed tape feeding/rewinding can be obtained.</p> |
