An apparatus for broadening a frequency bandwidth of a rod-type monopole antenna is provided to communicate a broadband wireless data which is used for PCS, IMT-2000, WiBro, WLAN, DMB, High-band UWB through one antenna. An apparatus for broadening a frequency bandwidth of a rod-type monopole antenna includes a radiator conductor(4), a ground surface(5), and a coaxial cable(6). The apparatus further includes a fabricating unit and a protrusion unit. The fabricating unit is formed in a shape of a step on a base unit of the radiator conductor. The protrusion unit is formed on a feeding unit of the ground surface. The number of the stepwise fabricating units installed on the base unit of the radiator conductor is at least one.
