PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a pipe for a built-in heat exchanger on a tank outer wall surface with a simple constitution, in the heat exchanger incorporating the built-in type heat exchanger in a tank. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises a plurality of tubes 2 in which engine cooling water flows, the tank 5 communicated with the plurality of tubes 2, an oil cooler 9 which is disposed in the tank 5 and in which the oil is circulated to allow the engine cooling water flowing in the tank 5 and the oil to exchange heat, an oil pipe 55 penetrating through a wall surface of the tank 5 to allow the oil to flow in or to flow out from the oil cooler 9, and a drain pipe 11 connected with a side wall 520 of the tank 5 at its one end and guiding the engine cooling water to a drain outlet 10 for discharging the engine cooling water to the external, and a part disposed at an outer side of the tank 5, of the oil pipe 55 is extended along a side wall 520 of the tank 5.
