A writable electronic paper display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to display a character or a diagram on an electronic paper using piezoelectric effects generated by pressing a piezoelectric element, thereby improving user's convenience. A writable electronic paper display device includes a lower substrate(100) and an upper substrate(600), a first transparent electrode film(200) and a second transparent electrode film(500), an electronic paper layer(300), and a first transparent piezoelectric film(400). The lower substrate and the upper substrate are disposed to be opposite to each other with a predetermined gap. The first transparent electrode film and the second transparent electrode film are respectively formed to be adjacent to a surface opposite to the lower substrate and the upper substrate. The electronic paper layer is formed on the first transparent electrode film. The first transparent piezoelectric film is formed between the electronic paper layer and the second transparent electrode film. |
