<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce brightness of transmission display by using a prism sheet in a liquid crystal apparatus wherein reflection type display and transmission type display can be switched to each other. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display apparatus provided with an illuminator 115 emitting light toward a liquid crystal element, a semitransmission reflection film 114 wherein line-shaped aperture parts are provided is disposed between a liquid crystal layer 103 and the illuminator 115. The prism sheet 116 is disposed between the illuminator 115 and the semitransmission reflection film 114 and ridge lines formed on an upper surface of the prism sheet and longitudinal directions of the aperture parts are orthogonal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
