<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for cleaning exhaust gas including NO<SB>X</SB>and a method for cleaning exhaust gas including NO<SB>X</SB>. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cleaning system for cleaning exhaust gas including NO<SB>X</SB>comprises a closed passage 14 in which the flow of exhaust gas including NO<SB>X</SB>is transferred from an exhaust gas source 2 to a catalyst converter 13, and a measuring element 7 provided on the upstream side of the catalyst converter 13 for discharging liquid reactive medium into the flow of the exhaust gas. A carburetor 11 is arranged on the downstream side of the measuring element 7 having surfaces 15, 16 arranged in the flow of the exhaust gas for the liquid reactive medium to be applied thereonto.
