PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant rope for transporting a glass plate, which is capable of reducing burning to the glass plate, prevents the scratch of the glass plate, has long service life and is capable of suppressing occurrence of static electricity to reduce static shock on workers or dust sticking to the glass plate. SOLUTION: In the heat resistant rope 1 for transporting a glass plate, at least the outermost layer part is formed of yarn composed by twisting a heat resistant synthetic fiber and a fine drawn metallic fiber having fiber size of 5-20μm woven and the elongation of the rope in breaking is≤4%. The weight ratio of the heat resistant synthetic fiber is controlled to be 40-80% in the outermost layer part and 40-100% in a core part and the remainder is the metallic fiber. The heat resistant synthetic fiber 2 is an aromatic poly amide-based fiber and the metallic fiber 3 is a stainless steel fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
