PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump for an internal combustion engine, wherein a discharge amount can be increased with an increase of a face width to prevent cavitation without changing the casting mold of a head plate. SOLUTION: The thickness size of each of gears 12, 13 operating as rotors is increased, and the cross section area of an oil flow path 3 communicated with an oil inlet 14 is increased.
