PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offset printing paper having low density and excellent opacity, and exhibiting excellent printability with good ink set and little piling trouble in printing. SOLUTION: The offset printing paper contains a filler having a bulk density of≤0.25 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and has a surface coating layer containing 5-20 wt.% synthetic resin latex having an average particle diameter of≤115 nm, an acrylonitrile content of≥10%, and a gel content of≥80%, and 70-95 wt.% starch at a coating rate of 0.2-0.7 g/m<SP>2</SP>per one surface.
