PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability compressor for accommodating an induction electric element, capable of preventing the outer periphery of the upper end part of a rotor core from coming into contact with the inner periphery of the upper end part of a stator core at start time, and of stably operating over a long period. SOLUTION: A rotor lower portion 55-2 is formed, by pressurizing and automatically stacking a required number of rotor core members C having a certain outside diameter (R2), such that an appropriate air gap is retained between the rotor lower portion and a stator core. A rotor upper portion 55-1 is formed adjacent to the rotor lower portion 55-2 of a rotor core 55, by pressurizing and automatically stacking a required number of rotor core members D, having a outside diameter (R1) that is smaller than the outside diameter (R2). A stepped portion 55-3 is formed, at a position where the rotor lower portion 55-2 contacts the rotor upper portion 55-1 to configure a rotor core 55, which is used in an induction electric element accommodated compressor.
