PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flush toilet bowl that suppresses fluctuations in pressure in an external drain pipe caused by flushing operation thereof. SOLUTION: The flush toilet bowl is formed of a flush water feed means for feeding flush water into the bowl 1; a trap portion 4 arranged in the bowl 1 and on the rear wall lower side of the same, for storing retained water 3 therein, and a draining control means for draining the retained water 3 in the bowl 1 into the external drain pipe 7, at the flushing of the bowl. The draining control means is set up so as to carry out a two-stage operation, i.e. preliminary draining for preliminarily draining part of the retained water 3 in the bowl 1 at the flushing of the bowl, and regular draining for draining the remaining part of the retained water 3, after the lapse of a predetermined time period from the preliminary draining.
