PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of preventing reverse rotation of a scroll at a time of stop by a simple structure at a low cost. SOLUTION: The scroll compressor is provided with a fixed scroll including a scroll lap 31b, a revolving scroll including a scroll lap 32b meshing with the scroll lap 31b of the fixed scroll, and a motor driving the revolving scroll. A compression chamber formed between the lap 31b of the fixed scroll and the lap 32b of the revolving scroll is moved from an outside toward a center and volume of the compression chamber is reduced by revolving the revolving scroll by the motor without rotating the same to compress refrigerant. Then, revolution angles of the revolving scroll is shifted in a revolution direction by a revolution angle shift part by anglesϕwhen revolution of the revolving scroll stops.
