PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and hygienic electric cooker which safely releases air in a container during cutting or stirring, and also, prevents bubbles generated during stirring from overflowing from a ventilation hole. SOLUTION: This electric cooker is equipped with: a container 4 of which the upper side is opened; a cutter 3 which is rotation-driven by an electric motor 2 and cuts or crushes an article 5 to be cooked; and a cover 6 which covers the opening section 4a of the container 4. In this case, the container 4 is freely detachably fitted on the main body 1 which internally contains the electric motor 2, and houses the article 5 to be cooked. A ventilation hole 8 which ventilates the inside and the outside of the container 4 is provided on the lid 6; a shielding wall 9 is provided around the ventilation hole 8, and the lower end of the shielding wall 9 is tilted. Even when bubbles by the article 5 to be cooked adhere to the ventilation hole 8 or its surroundings, the bubbles are collected to the distal end along the tilted section 9a of the shielding wall 9 by their own weights, and become easier to drip into the container 4. Thus, the phenomenon that the bubbles overflow outside of the lid 6 can be suppressed. Also, by this constitution, even when an air pressure in the container 4 varies, the air can be released through the ventilation hole 8, and the lid 6 is prevented from slipping off.
