Benzidine pigments are of formula (I) (where X is H, Cl, Me, MeO, EtO, SO3H, N-COOH, Y is as X excluding EtO; K is the radical of a coupling component of the pyrazolone, acetoacetic acid arylide or 2:3-hydroxynaphthoic arylamide series.) (I) are greenish-yellow pigments, and are obtd. in 86-90% yields.
