PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which comprises a polyolefin resin and a metal hydroxide, has an improved copper-staining resistant property, and is therefore suitable as an electric wire-coating material. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises (a) 100 pts.mass of a polyolefin-based resin, (b) 10 to 350 pts.mass of magnesium hydroxide and/or aluminum hydroxide, (c) 0.001 to 10 pts.mass of N,N-bis[3-(3,5-di-tertiary butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionyl]hydrazine, (d) 0.001 to 10 pts.mass of a salicylamide compound represented by the general formula (I) (R is H, a 1 to 12C alkyl or a 1 to 12C alkoxy), and (e) 0.001 to 5 pts.mass of at least one selected from higher fatty acid amide compounds and higher fatty acid monoglycerides.
