Described is a door module and a motor vehicle door containing the door module. The door module includes a base body for covering openings in a motor vehicle door. Displaceable brackets are provided, preferably in the edge area of the base body, in relation to the base body in order to support the motor vehicle door on the edge area of the opening. The brackets respectively include at least one fixing point which is used to secure the inside door panel. This enables a gap between an inside door covering and an inside door panel in motor vehicle doors to be adjusted in a precise and economical manner.
