METHOD FOR SQUEEZING END PART OF DECK PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squeezing method of the end parts of a deck plate by which the end parts in the longitudinal direction of a rib which has a quadrilateral cross-sectional space in the inside are always squeezed into a stable shape. SOLUTION: This method includes the following steps to be performed in this order: a rib-end side-face deforming step 1 where a pair of recessed parts 7 connecting an end face 6c in the longitudinal direction of the rib 6 is symmetrically formed on both side faces 6c in the end parts 6a of the rib 6 by respectively imparting inward load to both side faces 6b of the end part 6a of the rib 6 at the same time; and a rib end compressing step 2 where the end part 6a in the longitudinal direction of the rib 6 is squeezed in the height direction of the rib 6 by imparting compressive load to the end parts 6a of the rib 6 in the state where spreading of the end part 6a of the rib 6 in a direction orthogonally crossed to the longitudinal direction of the rib 6 is restricted.
