PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correcting device for accurately correcting a partial defective part developed on a film of a display device under production. SOLUTION: The correcting device for correcting a defective part developed on a film of a display device under production by applying a prescribed correcting liquid which solidifies by heating comprises: a fixing stage for holding the display device; a removing means for removing the defective part of the display device and forming a cut section; an ejecting means having an ejecting section that ejects the correcting liquid onto the cut section formed by the removing means; an observing means for observing the cut section; a heating means for heating the correcting liquid and forming a film; a movable stage on which the removing means, the ejecting means, the observing means, and the heating means are mounted and which moves with respect to the display device; and a capping means for preventing the ejecting means under stand-by state from drying.
