The present invention relates to a device for setting a fishhook in the mouth or lip of a fish. The invention provides a hook-setting device for fishing comprising a body for attachment to a fishhook, the body enclosing a trigger mechanism actuable by an actuating force applied from the hook direction to produce an increased force on the hook in the opposite direction. The invention is applicable to all forms of angling, coarse fishing, and sea fishing. |
