PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door pulling-in detecting device reducing assembling manhours at a job site when installing the door pulling-in detecting device. SOLUTION: A corner guard 22 displaceable in the door opening-closing direction and a limit switch 26 detecting pulling-in of foreign matter to a door pocket in response to displacement of the corner guard 22, are arranged on a baseplate 21, to be formed as a foreign matter detecting unit 20. An installation slot 6 is opened and formed in the vertical direction in a corner edge part approaching a sliding door on the door closing directional side among a vertical frame 2 constituting the doorway 1. After inserting the detecting unit 20 into the installation slot by blocking up an opening part on the side in the door closing direction of this installation slot 6 by the corner guard 22, the foreign matter detecting unit 20 is detachably installed in the vertical frame 2 with the baseplate 21 as an installation part.
