<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer unit which descrambles and deinterleaves data which is scrambled and interleaved. <P>SOLUTION: An interleave memory 13 stores interleaved data for each descrambling. A DMA device 2 15 outputs data positional information which indicates a location of each byte of the interleaved data stored in the interleave memory 13.
