PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that prevents the occurrence of a light leakage from between globe packing and a device body. SOLUTION: A device body 11 is elongate and has an opening in the front face. A straight-tube florescent lamp is mounted in the opening part in the front face of the device body. A globe 12 is openably/closably mounted to the device body 11 by a hinge 13 and a latch 14 so as to cover the straight-tube fluorescent lamp located in the opening part in the front face of the device body 11. The globe has a frame 18 at the inner peripheral part that is in contact with the device body 11 when the globe 12 is closed. Packing 17 is mounted to the frame 18 of the globe 12 so as to prevent leakage of the straight-tube fluorescent lamp through the contact part between the globe 12 and the device body 11 when the globe 12 is closed.
