A hinge apparatus for a swing-type portable terminal is provided to implement a slim hinge by removing the necessity of equipping a coil spring. A hinge apparatus(100) for a swing-type portable terminal comprises the followings: the first main body coupling plate(131) coupled with the main body of the first terminal; the first cylinder-type hinge member(130) including the central axis which is formed upward from the first main body coupling plane; and the second main body coupling plate(146) coupled with the main body of the second terminal. The second main body coupling plate includes the second hinge member(140) which is coupled so as to be rotated centering on the central axis of the first hinge member, a coupling part(151) combined on the second hinge member, and an elastic support member(150) which has an elastic unit(152) applying force downward at the central axis.
