METHOD FOR ELIMINATING NOISE OF IMAGE GENERATED BY IMAGE SENSOR

A method for removing noise of an image generated by an image sensor is provided to segment image properties generated by the image sensor and remove noise of an image adaptively considering directivity of an out line existing in an image, thereby drastically improving image quality. An area to which a target pixel belongs is determined in an input image by comparing calculated absolute difference values and the first threshold values respectively(S13). The target pixel is not included in an outline. A noise area with a lot of noise and a flat area without noise are determined(S15). Noise of a pixel group is removed according to directivity of an outline when the determined area is the outline area. Noise of the pixel group is removed according to noise level of the pixel group when the determined area is the noise area.
