<p>A depilation device for removing hairs from a skin by applying light to it. The device has a light source section (20), a light exit opening (3), a device body (1) for causing light from the light source section (20) to exit through the light exit opening (3), a light shielding section (6) placed surrounding the light exit opening (3) of the device body (1), and a contact sensor (12) placed on an inner surface (11a) of a front end section (11) of the light shielding section (6) so as to be able to detects contact with a skin surface. A light leakage is prevented to enhance safety.</p> |
