PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device and a lens driving device capable of highly accurately controlling a position of a driving object, without being influenced by the environmental temperature. SOLUTION: This driving device has a shape memory alloy having characteristics that temperature transformation sensitivity in a temperature range up to an austenite transformation finish point (an Af point) from an austenite transformation starting point (an As point) in predetermined stress, is higher than temperature transformation sensitivity in a temperature range except for that range, and temperature transformation sensitivity in a temperature range up to a martensite transformation finish point (an Mf point) from a martensite transformation starting point (an Ms point), is higher than temperature transformation sensitivity in a temperature range except for that range.
