A system for providing a membership service based on a regional community and a method therefor are provided to enable a user to obtain information and purchase goods through kiosks in the regional community without having a credit card. A method for providing a membership service based on a regional community comprises the following steps. The client visiting a specific area is registered as a membership service client differently classified according to the degree related to the area, relation or whether the client is a foreigner or not(500). A service terminal connected with a service system server performs user authentication(100). The authenticated membership service client performs reservation and purchase of goods through the service terminal(200). Details about provided services of the membership service client are stored in a service system database or are settled.
