摘要 A mobile robot and an operation method thereof are provided to reduce a load according to the image recognition and enhance the accuracy of a position determination. A camera(10) tapes the image of a ceiling area. An image control part(20) converts an image signal inputted from the camera and extracts the feature point from the data. A controller compares a first and second data inputted from the image control part with the designated time interval, and matches a plurality of feature points, removes the unnecessary feature point among a plurality of feature points, and calculates a current position according to the movement of the feature point except for the unnecessary feature point.
