<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method and device, whereby a stable quantity of developer attached to a latent image carrier is obtained, and to provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing method, the development potential difference in the highest concentration developer attachment area is set so as to be greater than the potential of a layer of attached developer, which is determined by a quantity of conveyed developer. Based on a quantity of developer conveyed through a developing area, the amount of developer attached to the highest concentration developer attachment area is regulated. This decreases a change in the quantity of attached developer, caused by a change in the potential of a latent image, and obtains a stable quantity of attached developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
