PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align a fixed scroll with sure at high accuracy when assembling a scroll fluid machine. SOLUTION: A positioning device of a fixed scroll (3) being the object is for moving the fixed scroll (3) to an appropriate position in a state of the fixed scroll (3) engaged with a movable scroll being temporarily fixed to a housing. Out of five bolt holes (26, 27) provided in the fixed scroll (3), the hole diameter dimension of two bolt holes (26, 26) is made larger than that of the other bolt holes (27), so that a gap between a bolt and the bolt hole (26) is formed. When the fixed scroll (3) is temporarily fixed to the housing, only the two bolt holes (26, 26) formed having a large diameter are fastened with bolts, and the fixed scroll (3) is moved in a fastened state by the bolts.
