PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a hanging structure building, which enables the adjustment of an inclination of a beam floor member and the fine adjustment of its height to be easily performed even during a lifting operation. SOLUTION: This construction method comprises: a step of constructing a horizontal member 10 in such a manner that it is supported at a predetermined height; a step of field-assembling the beam floor member and hanging column 50 of the uppermost story within the range of the predetermined number of stories; a step of lifting the field-assembled beam floor member 40 and hanging column 50 of the uppermost story up to a predetermined height, while making the horizontal member 10 bear reaction, by using a lifter 130; a step of connecting the hanging column 50 of the uppermost story to the horizontal member 40 from below; a step of field-assembling the beam floor member 40 and hanging column 50 of the operation target story in such a manner that the respective stories, except the uppermost story, among the stories within the range of the predetermined number of stories are set as the operation target stories in an order from the upper stories to the lower ones; a step of lifting the beam floor member 40 and hanging column 50 of the operation target story up to a predetermined height, while making the horizontal member 10 bear the reaction, by using the lifter 130; and a step of connecting the hanging column 50 of the operation target story to the horizontal member 10 or the beam floor member 40 of the story positioned directly above, from above.
