<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compatibility between a high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) and a wide dynamic range of a video signal to be outputted in a single-plate type color television camera. <P>SOLUTION: An image signal processor of the present invention comprises: an amplification means for amplifying, with a predetermined amplification factor, a plurality of color signals outputted from a solid-state image pickup element in an imaging apparatus using the image pickup element in which a plurality of different color filters are disposed; a separation means for separating the plurality of color signals amplified by the amplification means for each color signal; a white balance adjusting means for applying white balance adjustment to the plurality of separated color signals; a level detecting means for detecting a saturation level, in accordance with the amplification factor of the amplification means, from the plurality of color signals to which the white balance adjustment has been applied; a correction signal generating means for generating a correction signal from other color signals different from the color signal in which the saturation level has been detected by the level detecting means; and a first addition means for adding the correction signal generated by the correction signal generating means to the plurality of color signals to which the white balance adjustment has been applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
