PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-processing device capable of eliminating the need of retracting a regulating means for aligning a sheet on a stacking tray when a gripping means is moved, receiving sheets while the gripping means is made to stand by at a stacking position of a sheet bundle in the regulating means, having a simple mechanism, and making the device compact. SOLUTION: The sheet post-processing device comprises the stacking tray equipped with the regulating means aligning the sheets successively carried and formed with a frontage and capable of receiving the sheet bundle until the predetermined number of sheets; and the gripping means gripping the sheet bundle stacked on the stacking tray and discharging that onto a discharging tray. The gripping means is disposed so as to grip the sheet bundle at the stacking position of the sheet bundle aligned by the regulating means, and supported so as to reciprocate in a direction generally orthogonal to a discharging direction of the sheet bundle onto the paper discharging tray.
