PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for toner which is excellent either in low-temperature fixation property or in storage property, and to provide an electrophotographic toner which contains the resin. SOLUTION: The resin for toner is prepared by polycondensing an alcohol component including an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol (alcohol A) having two or more secondary carbon atoms with which hydroxide groups are bound, and a carboxylic acid component.
