A wireless gaming method and a mobile terminal for a wireless game are provided to use the image, photographed in real time by a camera module of the mobile terminal, as a background image of the game. A wireless gaming method in a mobile terminal including a camera comprises the following steps of: inviting at least one terminal of the other party on a short-distance wireless communication network by transmitting a multi-play game mode request message(S420), if the multi-play game mode is activated(S410); synchronizing game data with the terminal of the other party which transmitted an acknowledgement message when the message is received in response to the multi-play game mode request message(S440); generating a game screen which uses a real image photographed by the camera as a background image when the synchronization process is completed(S450); and starting the game on the generated game screen(S460).
