A rotating rectifier of a synchronous generator consists of a body, a rectifying element, diodes, a cooler, insulation details and assemblies, connection elements. A rotating rectifier is installed at the end of a rotor shaft. A three phase rectifying bridge is used as a rectifying element, which mounted in a steel body and fixated to the outer end of the shaft. There is entry and outlet for cables though the hollow rotor shaft with protection of diodes according to variable component by means of RC-circuits located inside the aluminum cooler, according to constant component by means of varistorts located on positive and negative parts of the cooler. |
