摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite communication device capable of preventing the use-up of the residual capacity of a battery, the impossibility of the cutting of a satellite circuit and the abnormality of the state of the satellite circuit and capable of quickly reopening the satellite communication, even in a state with the residual capacity of the battery mostly gone. SOLUTION: The satellite communication device 10 connects the satellite circuit for a communication with an earth station 6 as a communication opposite party via an artificial satellite. The satellite communication device 10 has a modem 13 that conducts communication with the earth station 6 as the communication opposite party by using the connected satellite circuit, and the battery 11 supplying the modem 13 with power. The satellite communication device 10 further has a power amplifier 14, supplied with a power from the modem 13 and amplifying a signal transmitted to the artificial satellite and a voltage detecting section 12A for detecting the specified threshold or smaller of the voltage value of the battery 11. When the specified threshold or smaller of the voltage value of the battery 11 is detected by the voltage detecting section 12A, when the satellite circuit is in a communication state, the modem 13 is configured so as to cut the connected satellite circuit.
