<p>An object of the present invention is to enable a smooth connecting operation of housings.</p><p><Paragraphs id="pa02" num="0002" xmlns:base="http://www.sipo.gov.cn/XMLSchema/base">A female housing 5 includes an inner tube portion 8 for accommodating female terminal fittings 14 and an outer tube portion 9 surrounding the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube portion 8. A plurality of cavities 15A, 15B are arranged side by side in the rear end surface of the female housing 5, extended portions E project outward in an arranging direction of the cavities from the cavities 15A located at ends in the arranging direction, and the rear end surfaces of the extended portions E serve as pushable surfaces 22 upon a connecting operation. Side walls 9B of the outer tube portion 9 are continuous with the extended portions E, and operation recesses 44 are formed in the side walls 9B before the extended portions E in a connecting direction. Upon connecting and separating the housings 1, 5 with and from each other, an operation can be performed by gripping the operation recesses 44.
