The touch-sensing system (1) has a sensing arm (4) with a touching element (5). A measuring instrument retainer (6) is connected with the sensing arm. The sensing arm and the measuring instrument retainer are arranged around an axis of rotation (7) in a twistable manner. The measuring instrument retainer is provided with an arc-shaped section (9), where the center of the circular arc is the axis of rotation. A measuring standard (10) is arranged on the arc-shaped section which is engaged by a read head (8).
