<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball, having such carry and control performance as to be satisfactory for use by a professional or an advanced player, which is also excellent in crack durability and scratch resistance in repeated striking. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-layer golf ball comprises a core, a cover as the outermost layer, and one or more intermediate layers disposed between them. At least one of the intermediate layers includes (a) metal ion neutralized matter of olefin-unsaturated carboxylic acid random copolymer, (b) specified thermoplastic elastomer, (c) thermoplastic block copolymer formed of comonomer including terminal blocks denatured by a functional group having reactivity with ionomer resin, where both terminal blocks are different from each other, (e) organic acid or derivative of a specific carbon number, and (f) mix including a specific metal ion source, and having the ratio of melt viscosity of (b) and melt viscosity of (a) at shear speed 6,000 (1/sec) based on JIS K-7199 properly corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
