PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mount a backflow prevention device, which prevents wastewater flowing back from being spouted from drainage equipment, in a public basin. SOLUTION: An approximately cylindrical backflow prevention device body 15 is formed integrally with a public basin body 1 at the inner end side of the inflow-side connection portion 2 of the public basin body 1. The backflow prevention device is equipped with a valve body 16 which is opened into the public basin body 1 by the wastewater flowing in from an inflow-side connecting pipe 12 mounted in the backflow prevention device body 15. A portion 46 to be mounted is formed in the backflow prevention device body 15, and a journaling member 49 with the rotatably-attached valve body 16 can be retrofitted to the portion 46.
